About the position: The Senior Manager - Strategic Procurement is a dynamic role leading Category Management and Delivery teams working across CAPEX and OPEX expenditure. The role will be responsible for building and managing a business pipeline, supplier engagement and a high degree of strategic planning/thinking. The successful candidate will be joining a high-performing team and collaborating with passionate and like-minded business stakeholders at an exciting time of transformational change with a rich pipeline of value-optimising initiatives to be progressed and implemented. This is a fixed term 12 month contract Key Responsibilities: Developing and overseeing the Strategic Procurement team, including the effective management of multiple direct reports and fostering their growth to consistently contribute to the successful execution of the Strategic Asset Plan Leading the planning and execution of major/high value or high risk Procurement projects to ensure successful delivery in accordance with business requirements. Leading the development and delivery of comprehensive category management plans across project and operational spend. To consistently track and report on progress against agreed milestones; Lead the effective implementation of the pipeline of Procurement transformation initiatives at Snowy Hydro, including to drive adoption of updated processes with key stakeholders and identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation Actively developing and managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships, including the fostering of collaborative relationships with key supplier partners Leading the team in sourcing and selecting suppliers, evaluating vendor performance, and ensuring adherence with Snowy Hydro procurement policies and procedures About the location: This position can be based in Melbourne or Sydney.
