About the role The Operations Manager has key leadership and oversight responsibilities for the unit’s operational personnel, who report directly to this position. The Operations Manager plays a vital role to the Senior Manager and is critical to the effective delivery of operational activities and projects across the department’s infrastructure assets. The role will provide oversight, guidance and technical advice across the unit and will represent the Asset and Facility Services team through liaison and collaboration with site leaders, education directors and senior management and external stakeholders as well as providing specialist operational oversight to the department’s initiatives, programs and minor works projects. Qualifications Essential : Nil Desirable : Relevant appropriate tertiary qualification or extensive knowledge and experience in facilities and asset management / maintenance fields. Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN–EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
