Entry‑Level Driller's Offsider What the Job Looks Like As a Driller's Offsider, you'll be right there on the ground, supporting experienced drillers and learning the trade from the inside out. Every day is hands‑on, physical, and full of challenges. Your Daily Responsibilities Supporting the Driller: Assist with the safe operation and maintenance of drilling rigs and equipment. Heavy Lifting and Equipment Handling: Move drill rods, tools, and core samples. Operating Support Machinery: Safely use vehicles and machinery vital to drilling operations. Site Upkeep: Keep the worksite organised, safe, and compliant. Core Sample Management: Retrieve, label, and store geological samples correctly. Safety: Follow strict safety protocols at all times. The Reality Check This job is not for everyone. Expect 12-hour days in hot, dusty, demanding conditions. Expect to be away from home on a 2 : 1 roster. Expect to be tired.
