Overview Join to apply for the WHS Coordinator, ATS WHS team role at Amazon . We currently have a vacancy for a Workplace, Health, and Safety (WHS) – Coordinator to join the Amazon AU AMZL Team, within the DVT1 delivery station, reporting to the AMZL WHS manager. This role is open to anyone with an interest in work health and safety and requires working with the WHS team to deliver high safety standards within the delivery station. The suitable applicant will be trained in the standard work and tools used within the WHS function and will be a strong communicator who values teamwork, is proactive about safety, and can engage professionally with the entire delivery station workforce. Responsibilities Assist with risk assessments as required and follow up control measures to completion. Advise associates and managers on company procedures and legal requirements within the level of a Coordinator's knowledge. Monitor the delivery station for compliance with company safety procedures. Assist in the implementation of Regional WHS management programs at site level. Assist with the investigation of incidents to establish root cause and develop action plans with the relevant processes. Update internal records regarding incidents, near misses, accidents, Area Observations, Safety Inspections, pre-start records and ‘Safety Saves’. Contribute to action plans to ensure continuing compliance with legislation and maintain confidentiality in safety investigations. Monitor Dock and Yard safety procedures to ensure compliance. Carry out WHS training sessions for managers and associates as required. Show flexibility in hours worked to cover shifts and escalations as required. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement Bachelor’s degree in a Safety-related field or a Cert IV in Safety Preferred Qualifications Experience with data analysis Experience in logistics or a similar industry Acknowledgement Of Country In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
