Overview Brightwater Care Group is building our local talent pool and seeking Community Support Workers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our elderly clients. We are seeking expressions of interest for potential future opportunities to work with our elderly clients in their own private homes throughout the Perth metropolitan region. Once in our talent pool, as vacancies become available, we can reach out without delay and potentially have you onboarded quickly. Brightwater can offer you: Travel within the community and receive an allowance of $0.99 per km Mobile phone for work purposes The ability to salary package up to $18,550 tax free per annum – meaning you can legitimately pay less tax and increase your take-home pay Our unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which provides discounts with over 370 retailers About the role You will be visiting our elderly clients in their own private homes, assisting them to live independently in the community by supporting them with day-to-day tasks, social access and sometimes just keeping them company. Each day is different with different needs. Some of the duties include: Delivering quality care and support by ensuring the holistic needs of our clients are met in accordance with their Care Plan and care package Personal care including showering, dressing and continence care Facilitating community access opportunities for our clients Providing cleaning, laundry and meal preparation services Completing documentation and reports Our friendly Brightwater At Home team will provide all the training and support you require to be the best Community Support Worker that you can be. About you and what you will need You are comfortable working on your own, and care about our clients as much as we do Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences An empathetic and considerate nature and a client-focused approach The ability to problem-solve and work flexibly without direct supervision Certificate III in Aged Care/Disability (desirable) A First Aid Certificate (less than 3 years old) or willing to obtain within 2 weeks of commencement Current valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (essential) A reliable, insured car (essential) A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old Applications must be submitted through Brightwater’s system (applications will not be accepted via email).
