IT Field Technician – Flexible Hours & Commissions Are you ready to take the next step in your IT career? At Nimble Nerds , we’re looking for a motivated Level 1/2 Technician to join our dynamic field support team. This role is hands‑on, customer‑facing, and built for those who enjoy variety – from troubleshooting home office setups to assisting small businesses with networks, laptops, and security to repairing audio/visual displays, point of sale and digital signage in enterprise environments. This isn’t just another tech job. You’ll have the freedom to choose your hours, get paid for travel time, and access an Ampol fuel card budget worth 5% of sales – covering fuel, roadside assistance, and even snacks on the go. On top of that, you can earn commissions on sales of hardware, software, and services. We currently anticipate 20‑40 hours per week , based on demand. Perfect for someone wanting to work when they want to – although we do need help primarily Monday to Friday at the moment please. What you’ll do: Provide on‑site and remote IT support for home users and small businesses Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues Communicate solutions in plain, friendly language clients understand Identify opportunities for clients to improve their setups (and earn commissions) Represent Nimble Nerds with professionalism and patience What we’re looking for: ABN (contracting position) Liability insurance (required) Valid driver’s licence & own vehicle Police check (or ability to obtain) Solid knowledge of Windows, networking basics, and common hardware issues Strong communication skills – ability to explain tech without jargon Own toolkit (laptop, screwdrivers, adapters – basics are fine) Why join Nimble Nerds?
