We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our clients' team on a rare earth's project in Laverton.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Advisor to join our clients' team on a rare earth's project in Laverton.

The successful candidate MUST HAVE experience in Underground Services on a mine site in Australia.

Location:

Laverton, Western Australia

Employment Type:

FIFO on a 2:1 roster or residential

Duration:

Minimum 3 months with the option to extend up to 12 months

Commencement Date:

Late May 2024

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice and support on Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) matters.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate hazards.Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Monitor and report on HSEQ performance, identifying areas for improvement.Conduct audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify opportunities for enhancement.Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on HSEQ procedures and practices.Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HSEQ strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role, within the mining or resources sectorUnderground services experience is mandatory.Relevant qualification in Health, Safety, and Environment (Cert III in Work Health and Safety or equivalent).Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.Ability to pass a pre-employment medical check and a laboratory drug and alcohol screen.
