This role is a permanent full-time position and offers the incoming candidate an established and loyal client base.Elders Livestock Managers provide clients with expert livestock sales support and insights. Working both in-branch and travelling the countryside in the iconic pink shirt, Livestock Managers assess and prepare livestock for market to obtain maximum value for clients.The Mortlake Livestock Manager's role is a high-profile and especially important role within the Elders SA Network. The successful applicant will be responsible for servicing their own allocated client base whilst also coordinating with the other Mortlake Livestock & Administration Team to run the weekly prime cattle sales and twice monthly store sales at the 'state of the art' WVLX saleyards.The role also requires the successful applicant to generate and maintain strong relationships with surrounding Elders branches & livestock staff.ResponsibilitiesAs a key member of the branch, you will enjoy a varied day including:Maintaining professional relationships and growing a strong portfolio of new and existing clientsIdentifying and cultivating new livestock sales opportunitiesDeveloping and growing relationships with key industry partners including exporters and processorsProviding professional onsite livestock advice to clients, recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their businessEmploying tactful negotiating skills to bring buyers and sellers togetherMaximising promotional opportunities, including assisting at industry and community eventsAbout youTo succeed at Elders, you:Are passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your communityHave a passion for livestock sales and an active interest in safe livestock handlingAre driven by sales and successAren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to build new businessHave an ability to provide a high level of customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current clientsHave either a Livestock Auctioneer Licence and Assessor Accreditation, or the willingness to become licensed after undertaking training offered, free-of-charge, by EldersAbout EldersElders is proud to be the last Australian-listed major agribusiness and the most trusted agribusiness brand in Australia.
