CBC Fremantle is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition for boys in Years 7-12. Founded by the Christian Brothers in 1901, the College has served the local Fremantle community for over a century helping families to raise boys who continually strive for excellence and who exhibit Catholic Leadership in their quest to establish a more just and peaceful society. The successful applicant will work closely with colleagues across the College to conceptualise and deliver a range of design materials for both print and digital platforms. This role requires strong attention to detail, a dynamic and adaptable approach to design, and a commitment to producing high-quality work that makes an impact. You value creative freedom and bring fresh, innovative ideas to the table. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Community Relations & Development. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrate an understanding of the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice as articulated in the Charter for Catholic Schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition. Give witness to their membership of a Catholic community through their attitudes, actions and practice. Be willing to become an active member of the CBC Fremantle community with a strong commitment to promoting and supporting the varied aspects of College life. Have excellent interpersonal skills which promote positive and mutually beneficial relationships and be able to work cooperatively as part of a team. Have well developed written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Qualification in Graphic Design or equivalent experience. Exceptional stakeholder management and customer service. Outstanding time management with the ability to manage own workload and priorities, manage multiple projects concurrently and perform under strict deadlines. Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate concepts into compelling visuals, bringing creative flair while consistently maintaining brand integrity. Experience in Adobe Creative Suite. Good understanding of modern print technology and the requirements of commercial printers. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, creative environment. Key Responsibilities Be prepared to work closely with the Principal and staff to ensure that CBC Fremantle authentically reflects the mission of a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition. Execute projects from creative conception to final product and implementation. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to develop and deliver the assets required to promote the CBC Fremantle brand. Design digital and printed material to support the exceptional teaching and learning programmes at the College. Produce a range of design work and liaise with external companies to supply the College with printed material, physical and digital signage, and event material, advising on appropriate sizing and products. Manage the design and delivery of in‑house documents and promotional assets. Production of the College’s high‑end publications including the College Annual, Touchstone, Trove, Strategic Direction, School Performance Report and prospectus and enrolment documents. Establish positive relationships with students, families and staff. Attend meetings of the Community Relations team. Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the Principal. Experience in photography and photo editing. Experience working in a school, or a strong interest in the education sector. Permanent part‑time position (0.6 FTE), commencing as soon as practicable. The role is based on 45 working weeks per year, with leave taken during school holiday periods: one week at the beginning of each of the three term breaks, plus four weeks of annual leave at the end of the school year.
