Founded by John Wylie, Tanarra manages capital on behalf of institutional investors, family offices, and internal stakeholders, with offices across Melbourne (Head Office) and Sydney. We are seeking an exceptional and motivated Investment Associate to join the Strategic Influence Fund (SIF) – a concentrated public equities fund applying a private equity-style investment philosophy to Australian and New Zealand public companies. The strategy focuses on unlocking value as a significant and engaged investment partner with investee companies– engaging deeply with management teams and boards to drive improvements in strategy, capital structure, governance, and portfolio positioning. This is a rare opportunity to work in a small, high-performance team operating at the intersection of public and private investing. You will be exposed to all stages of the investment process and work closely with senior team members on live investment opportunities. Role Responsibilities: Screen and monitor listed companies using bottom-up research Conduct fundamental company and industry analysis including financial modelling and valuation Develop actionable investment theses and long-term value creation strategies Participate in due diligence and strategic engagement with management teams and boards Prepare investment materials and contribute to Investment Committee discussions Support ongoing portfolio monitoring and engagement post-investment Ideal Candidate: 2-3 years of investment banking, management consulting or private equity experience Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in business strategy and investing Comfortable working independently with a hands-on, ownership mindset Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Curious, thoughtful, and resourceful with a long-term orientation How to Apply: Submit your resume, academic transcript, and a short cover letter outlining your interest in the role to For more about Tanarra: #J-18808-Ljbffr
