The Position We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic/Field Service Technician with supervisory experience preferred based from our Albany branch. The successful candidate will provide assistance to Service Manager and be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of diesel-powered construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, backhoes, crushing and screening products. Responsibilities Provide assistance to Service Manager Assist with supervision and training of apprentices Champion and role model safety within the branch Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel-powered construction equipment Conduct engine overhauls, rebuilds, and replacements as needed Identify and diagnose issues using computerized diagnostic tools and other equipment Inspect, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service Maintain accurate and complete service records About you In order to be considered, strong commitment to safety, you will come from a heavy equipment service background within any relatable industry. If you've worked in a trade role construction equipment, mining, forestry, waste & recycling, access equipment, forklifts, generators, compressors or any other relevant equipment, we want to speak with you Key candidate criteria are: Relevant Trade Qualification of Heavy Diesel Mechanic/Mobile Plant Mechanic Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment, access equipment, ag equipment or trucks Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostics skills Ability to navigate computer programs for diagnostics and troubleshooting Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively If you have the above criteria apply button on Seek Do you want to know more?
