Contract Type: Fixed term Role Type: Employment Hours: Part time Application deadline: Wednesday, December 10 Based: Newcastle Salary: £34,000 Pro Rata Salary Type: Fixed Salary Location: Tyne and Wear Role description: Manager About The Role We're excited to be opening a brand-new Children and Young People's Safe Haven in Newcastle and Gateshead City Centres in January. This innovative service is a partnership between Everyturn Mental Health-Streetwise and Children North East, and we're looking for a passionate and motivated Team Lead to help lead and develop this project. As Team Lead, you will drive the day‑to‑day delivery of the Safe Haven, ensuring young people receive safe, high‑quality, and compassionate support. You'll provide hands‑on leadership, manage the staff team, oversee service performance, and work closely with partners across Everyturn Streetwise and CNE to ensure the service runs smoothly. This is a brilliant opportunity to shape a brand‑new service, influence local pathways, and create a supportive environment that genuinely changes outcomes for young people and families. What We're Looking For Essential A relevant professional qualification (Counselling, Social Work, Youth Work, PGCE, etc.) Experience supporting young people's mental health through 1:1, group or crisis support. Ability to lead, motivate, and support staff. Strong risk assessment and safeguarding knowledge. Excellent communication, organisation, and record‑keeping skills. Ability to work autonomously and thrive in a changing, fast‑paced environment. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable Management experience or a management qualification.
