Mental Health Clinician (HP3) – Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist, Queensland Health Part time, Full time, Contract, Casual/Temporary Join a 24/7 acute mental health service supporting consumers in crisis at the Princess Alexandra Hospital Emergency Department. Make a real impact by delivering high-quality, patient-centred mental health care in a fast-paced Emergency Department, working collaboratively within a dedicated 24/7 multidisciplinary team. Your new role In this dynamic position, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred mental health assessment and intervention within a 24-hour Emergency Department service. Key responsibilities include: Conduct comprehensive assessments, therapeutic interventions, patient education and discharge planning within an interprofessional team. Contribute to clinical education through supervision of students, allied health assistants and participation in team-based learning. Participate in quality improvement, service development and research activities under the guidance of senior clinicians. Work within a continuous shift roster to support 24/7 emergency mental health service delivery. About you You are a compassionate, motivated allied health professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to collaborative, patient-centred care. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate: Ability to deliver evidence-based mental health assessments and interventions in an emergency context. Strong communication skills with the capacity to work effectively within an interprofessional team. Commitment to continual professional development and the ability to build growing clinical expertise. Capacity to support the education and development of students and junior staff.
