We are looking for a Full-stack engineer to contribute to a device and patient-therapy focused platform serving healthcare professionals globally. The team is based in Sydney within the Digital Health Technology Group and works on solutions that manage, monitor and support patients’ health needs in over 140 countries. We’re a small cross-functional product team that collaborates with product managers and other development teams across the Digital Health Technology group. We’re focused on solving problems across the entire software development lifecycle, including exploring new technologies, building features, improving CI/CD pipelines and test automation, and automating releases. We value learning and collaboration. Responsibilities Expanding on existing frameworks and services to implement new features and innovate on software products Designing and architecting new microservices and micro-frontends Designing, implementing, and supporting AWS infrastructure and services Extending automated unit testing and integration testing frameworks Implementing security and performance improvements to services Production support (occasionally) Required skills and experience 2+ years of software engineering experience with an object-oriented language, preferably Java or willingness to learn Java (JDK 11) Experience with a frontend client-side framework, preferably Angular Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to write clean, maintainable code Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience writing automated tests Experience with a cloud platform, preferably AWS Frameworks: Spring Boot, Angular (ideal) Languages: Java (primary), JavaScript/TypeScript, Python Familiarity with AWS services (ECS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, OpenSearch, AmazonMQ) AWS certifications are a bonus Experience with relational and NoSQL databases CI/CD tooling and infrastructure (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform, AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline) Interest in digital health and medical devices Interest in microservice and micro-frontend architectures Note: This role is based in Sydney and ideal for candidates based in Sydney.
