About the role: In your role as an Analyst, you will provide project management and KYC analyst support to the Global Corporate & Investment Banking (“GCIB”) Know Your Customer team (“KYC”). What you’ll be doing: Revise Local KYC Program as part of Oceania branch-wide working groups responding to changes in the AML/CTF requirements: Involvement in the branch project team to update the local KYC program, including the KYC Operations Manual and other relevant documents, to align with the new AML/CTF Act requirements Optimise Quality Checking capacity: Address the current shortfall in Quality Checking capacity in the KYC team by backfilling some of the work currently performed by others in the KYC team, so they can be freed up to support Quality Checking. Such work will involve KYC due diligence analysis such as press searches, company searches and systems data entry Enhance Communication Channels with MGS in India: Establish an additional communication channel for the KYC Team Head to regularly connect with the MGS Oceania KYC team. Develop tracking logs and reports to enhance governance and communication with MGS Update KYC forms and documents to improve user friendliness and ensure compliance with current policy and regulations Support for KYC Team Head: Provide additional support for the KYC Team Head (Director level) to manage multiple projects effectively, especially given the current limited capacity of VP KYC team members Assist with other various project tasks assigned by the KYC Team head from time-to-time such as responding to the Global Risk Assessment in 2026, managing rollout of the GCOP screening module What we are looking for: 2 + years experience in an Analyst role in a KYC or Compliance function in an institutional bank; or similar experience in a project management or consulting role Undergraduate degree in a business related field Familiarity with the Australian and NZ KYC/AML regulatory framework preferred, but not mandatory Possess a general understanding of financial business, economy and markets Proficiency in Microsoft Office in particular, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint The ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other functions in the branch and regionally You will have strong interpersonal and presentations skills Will be a team player Will be a self-starter with drive, initiative and enthusiasm Our culture: MUFG fosters a highly professional, supportive work environment that enables our employees to help maximize our customers' prosperity.
