As a GIS Analyst, you’ll help shape a sustainable energy future for Queensland, delivering solutions that benefit both communities and the environment. What You’ll Do We’re looking for a GIS Analyst for a Max Term role until 30 June 2026, responsible for advanced geospatial data management and analysis to support our projects and operations. Reporting to the GIS Lead, you’ll ensure geospatial data is accurate, consistent, and accessible, while providing technical expertise to project teams. Key responsibilities include: Implementing, developing, and maintaining geospatial systems and processes for effective project data management. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to understand and address geospatial needs. Ensuring designers and contractors follow established GIS standards and protocols, including national and project-specific guidelines. Managing digital project data for accuracy, consistency, and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle. Reviewing GIS inputs from contractors to ensure compliance with management plans and project requirements. Supporting collaboration among designers, contractors, and stakeholders to optimise design coordination and align with project goals. Who You Are To excel in this role, you’ll have a tertiary degree in Spatial Sciences or a related field, or at least 5 years’ working experience with geospatial technologies and large infrastructure projects. You’ll also bring: Strong proficiency with GIS software, especially Esri’s ArcGIS platform (Enterprise). Experience developing and maintain GIS policies and procedures for effective data management. Advanced IT skills, including network management, cloud collaboration platforms, and cybersecurity best practices. Familiarity with programming and scripting (eg FME, Python) to automate tasks and improve GIS workflows. Adaptability to changing project needs, priorities, and technologies, while maintaining high standards. Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and managing multiple stakeholders.
