About the opportunity Elizabeth Street Common Ground (ESCG) provides permanent, affordable, high‑quality housing to 65 people with complex needs who have experienced chronic homelessness. Unison tenancy management staff provide responsive tenancy services to an additional 66 tenants, comprised of low‑income workers and students within the same facility. ESCG has a team of Launch Housing support workers onsite who provide holistic case management practice, including after‑hours support. The Coordinator – ESCG will provide effective leadership to the support team, ensuring all housing support services run consistently and professionally within the ESCG residential facility. The role includes oversight of day staff and after‑hours staff, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and other organisational needs. Maximum‑term, full‑time role (76 hours per fortnight) based at ESCG from late January 2026 to mid‑January 2027. The role requires a minimum of two afternoon (11:54 am – 8:00 pm) shifts per week. What you’ll be doing Providing direction to the team to ensure delivery of consistent, effective and high‑quality programs and services Providing high‑quality leadership and program coordination Supervising and supporting staff performance development in accordance with Launch Housing policies and procedures Ensuring a consistent, best‑practice approach to case management Contributing to innovative solutions to improve housing and wellbeing outcomes for clients Advocating on behalf of clients with other agencies to ensure access to effective services Supporting and responding to critical incidents involving clients and staff Managing resource and staffing needs, including recruitment, rostering for a 24/7 site and onboarding of new staff What we’re looking for (key selection criteria) A tertiary qualification in human services, social work or a related discipline (desired) Demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems Experience working collaboratively to provide client solutions Experience supporting staff who work with people with complex needs Proven ability to provide supportive supervision that promotes professional development and accountability Leadership qualities with initiative and analytical skills Well‑developed organisational and time‑management skills Ability to build positive relationships and communicate with diverse populations A valid Victorian driver’s licence Commitment to Launch Housing values and the mission to end homelessness Benefits Contributing to rewarding work and giving back to the community Wellbeing days, ceremonial leave, carers leave and study leave Flexible working arrangements Purchased leave 17.5% leave loading 8 weeks’ gender‑neutral paid parental leave after 12 months of service for both primary and secondary carers Training and career growth opportunities across Launch Housing Income tax‑free salary packaging of personal, dining, and accommodation expenses A positive, supportive and progressive work environment Applications close 12 December 2025 How to apply To apply, please click the "Apply for this job" button and submit a cover letter addressing the key selection criteria along with your CV.
