Job Overview Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low‑latency, high‑speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Amazon Leo. You will be embedded with the Amazon Leo ground infrastructure services and operations teams (ground gateways, networking infrastructure) and will support the team contracting with field services providers, with a focus on deals in APAC. Key Responsibilities Structure, draft, and negotiate a range of agreements, including contracts for constructing and operating satellite gateways and agreements with field service providers. Provide legal counsel to the business team on issues related to Amazon Leo’s ground infrastructure and field services. Develop strategies for handling legal issues creatively and business‑centric, building processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly. Work with diverse teams, demonstrating sound judgement even in ambiguous situations, and be enthusiastic about technology and continuous challenge. Travel domestically and internationally as required. Support the Amazon Legal team’s mission in ensuring compliance and mitigating risks for Amazon Leo’s operations. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of legal experience. License to practice law in Europe, the U.S., or another common law jurisdiction. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a mix of corporate law firm and in‑house work. Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent. Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines.
