Consultant Psychiatrist – Staff Specialist (Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry) Location: Hobart, Tasmania Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Salary: $216,300 – $310,389 + 11.5% Super + Salary Packaging & Relocation Support We are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry to join a leading public health service in Tasmania. Based in Hobart, this is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative and multi-disciplinary mental health team within a major tertiary teaching hospital setting. About the Role: As a Staff Specialist in the Consultation-Liaison team, you will: Deliver high-quality general adult psychiatric services to inpatients and outpatients, including emergency and short-stay mental health settings. Act as a key consultant to a range of health professionals, including medical, allied health, and community providers. Supervise and mentor psychiatric registrars and junior medical staff. Play a pivotal role in advancing mental health care delivery aligned with national standards and service principles. This position is within a well-established and highly respected public healthcare provider in Tasmania, known for its integrated services across acute, community, and mental health care.
