700km transmission line
extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further 4950MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.This role is one of several required, and will be supporting the commissioning activities of our largest substation at Buronga, near Mildura VIC.This substation is one of 3 that will play a key role in Australia's sustainability ambitions, allowing future renewable projects to confidently connect to the grid. You are from either Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide, who enjoy FIFO on a 14:7 roster.Who you areCourageous. Motivated. Innovative. Passionate. These are just a few words that describe you.Your focus willinclude:Responsibility for the development and management of the test and commissioning team including subcontractor management to ensure the appropriate level of resources are being applied to meet all project requirements.Supporting test and commissioning standards and procedures and the quality of works to meet the requirements of the project and expectations of the client.Ability to follow test procedures and electrical/mechanical drawingsProven fault-finding skills and ability to repair defects in a timely manner to meet deadlines.Compose and compile commissioning methodology, management plans, ITPs, test reports, commissioning plans and relevant documentation as required.What you will bring to the team:Professional Electrical Engineer specialised in Power System – Transmission and Distribution Systems or appropriate equivalent qualificationExpertise in HV substations primary plant and equipment and secondary systemsStrong written skill and the ability to produce correspondence and technical reporting as requiredPreferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience in project engineering, construction and commissioningKnowledge of OH&S and statutory requirementsOpportunities for growth and career advancementA supportive team culture and environmentMental health and wellbeing programsEmployee assistance programA competitive remuneration packageWe’re building a diverse workforce.Elecnor Australia is committed to being an employer of choice.
