Saint Ignatius College Riverview is a Catholic boys school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12. We are seeking an experienced leader to join our Executive Leadership team as the Director of Co-Curriculum. As the development of the whole person is a key aspect of a Jesuit Education participation in the Colleges Co-Curriculum program forms a central element of the education process at Riverview. The Director of Co-Curriculum alongside various stakeholders is responsible for ensuring efficient organisation and implementation of both the sporting and cultural co-curricular programs across both our Senior and Regis Campuses. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in either co-curricular academic or pastoral programs within a school environment with a demonstrated ability to influence a range of internal and external stakeholders. They will be someone who models ethical practices sound decision making supported by their excellent communication interpersonal and organisational skills. The Director of Co-Curriculum will be able to work collaboratively with a variety of teams manage projects effectively and plan strategically for both short- and long-term will also cultivate an environment where students develop a sense of belonging a commitment to others and a desire to become responsible members of the community. ABOUT YOU The successful candidate will demonstrate : An understanding of and commitment to the Colleges Catholic Jesuit mission. Previous experience in a similar role within a school co-curriculum pastoral or academic program. A commitment to ethical practice and decision-making for all adult and student participants in the co-curriculum program. Proven ability to lead and influence a range of stakeholders. Well-developed interpersonal written and oral communication skills. Well-developed administrative and organisational skills including the ability to work to deadlines and the capability to plan for short-term and longer-term strategic outcomes. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to mediate and resolve matters as they arise. An understanding of and willingness to work flexible hours as required by the nature of the role and its Executive commitment. Strong financial acumen. Hold a current Working with Children CheckCheck (or be prepared to obtain one prior to commencement) and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety welfare and well-being of children and young people.
