General Education Assistant & Special Needs EA who is passionate about quality education. The ability to work in a team and foster positive relationships with students is a must. Commencing January Fixed term with a review for extension. Roles General Education Assistant – Working in Pre‑Primary. Special Needs Education Assistant – Working in Secondary across 7‑12. General EA – Part time – Mon, Tues and Wed (preferred but can be negotiated with the right candidate). Special Needs EA – Part time – 2 days per week (days negotiated with the right candidate). Experience and Skills Experience working with students as a General Education Assistant in a School setting. Experience working with students as a Special Needs Education Assistant in a Secondary School setting. Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals. Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as part of a team in the evaluation of educational programs. Ability to assist teachers in implementing educational programs. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of inclusive education practices. Strong organisational & time management skills, able to manage & prioritise concurrent tasks. Proficient in the use of technology. Flexibility to adapt to situations within a classroom. Show creativity, innovative skills & initiative to implement programs and differentiate as needed to meet all children’s needs. Comprehensive understanding of 'Duty of Care', valuing child well‑being. Strong work ethic, striving for continuous improvement and achieving high standards. Education / Qualifications Relevant qualifications or equivalent (Cert 3 or Cert 4 in education support) – Essential for Special Needs EA. Experience working as a Special Needs EA supporting students with ADHD & Autism is a must.
