Minara Resources has an opportunity for a skilled Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitter to join our team at the Murrin Murrin Operations. Minara Resources is Australia’s largest cobalt producer and a major world producer of nickel. Our Murrin Murrin site in WA’s northern Goldfields is an integrated nickel and cobalt mining and processing operation employing over 1,000 people. Responsibilities The successful person will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive breakdown maintenance work in our process plant. You will have experience working on a wide variety of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fixed plant piping, valves, and be familiar with laser alignment procedures. Previous experience with high pressure and high temperature Autoclaves will be an advantage for our Refinery Area. Ideally you will have experience with sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks and related agitators, and various pumps. Experience with HPAL Autoclaves is highly desirable for this role for our Ore Leach area. Qualifications Australian Recognised Mechanical Trade Qualification (Essential) A current and valid manual Australian Driver’s licence Proven experience with centrifugal and positive displacement pumps Proven experience working with all types of fixed plant piping, valves, and laser alignment Experience with sizer screens, mills, thickener tanks and related agitators, and various pumps. Experience with HPAL Autoclaves is highly desirable for this role.
