Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support the design and delivery of mechanical and HVAC systems across a range of commercial and industrial projects. The role involves developing compliant, efficient system designs, performing technical assessments, and preparing accurate cost estimates to support project tendering and execution. Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and duct/pipe sizing aligned with Australian Standards. Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for HVAC and mechanical projects based on design and specifications. Assess materials, equipment, and labour requirements to ensure accurate and competitive bids. Liaise with consultant engineers, builders, and project managers to clarify technical requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications. Provide technical support to internal teams and contractors on mechanical and ventilation systems. Prepare technical documentation, reports, schedules, and engineering-related paperwork. Ensure all designs, calculations, and quotations comply with building codes, Australian Standards, and safety regulations. Perform any other engineering duties reasonably assigned by the employer. Qualification & experience A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in HVAC design/estimation or similar engineering role. Strong understanding of Australian Standards and building codes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Proficiency in load calculations, equipment selection, and mechanical system design. Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
