About The Role This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. As a Youth Worker you will support student wellbeing, attendance and engagement by working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies to create a safe, supportive and inclusive school environment. Key Responsibilities Building strong, professional relationships with students, families, staff, and external support agencies. Monitoring attendance to identify early signs of disengagement and implementing intervention strategies. Providing support to students at risk of leaving school early through practical assistance, guidance, and referrals. Delivering programs and activities that enhance students' social skills, self‑esteem and resilience. Conducting home visits to strengthen school‑home connections and support families. About You Experience working with adolescents facing social, emotional or behavioural challenges. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to identify and address early signs of disengagement in students. Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and managing data. Flexibility, resilience and the ability to adapt to a dynamic school environment.
