About The Roles We're hiring Trainee Soil and Concrete Technicians at our Rockhampton Laboratory. You'll be testing soil and concrete samples, operating testing instruments, and handling materials. This role is ideal for those who like to be physically active, are safety‑conscious, and are looking for a long‑term career. The job is physically demanding and requires lifting up to 15–20 kg on a regular basis. What’s In It For You Pay Rate: $20–$27 per hour (starting at $20 for trainees aged 18 years, with the rate increasing by age and classification). Junior trainees (under 21) are paid at the Award junior rate; adult trainees receive $27 /hr. Permanent employment with overtime penalty rates. Long‑term career opportunities—many of our Managers and Senior Managers started here. Get paid while you train, plus earn around $3,000–$4,200 in potential incentives (amounts may vary). Potential for promotion or exploring other areas of our business. Company ute provided for site‑based roles (available after a qualifying period). What We’re Looking For Early‑career individuals, though open to all ages. Team players with a strong work ethic. Willingness for physical work and lifting up to 20 kg. Current Australian driver’s licence (manual preferred). White card (or willingness to obtain one quickly).
