You can learn more about the JORN program and listen to this exciting Australian story in the podcast Technically Possible -World-leading Tech in the Aussie Outback .As the Facility/Hardware Engineering Lead you will be responsible for the technical aspect of a portfolio of approximately 10 small to medium sized Delivery stream projects and also a number of MPAAHS. This is expected to be carried out in accordance with the JORN Engineering processes.Key responsibilitiesProvide daily leadership and guidance to a high performing hardware team within JORN programLead the engineering pathway of the electronic/electrical system manufacture from the hardware implementationDevelop and maintain capability roadmapsReview technical feasibility of proposed solutions to engineering problemsIdentify and implement Process Improvements as requiredIdentify and facilitate training and development opportunities for the teamCoach and mentor junior engineers and provide input into professional development plansPromote a culture of best practice sharing, supporting subordinates and by role modelling positive and collaborative behavioursAbout YOUTertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronic engineering satisfying the requirements for membership and to achieve Charted Professional Engineer (CPEng) through Engineers AustraliaDemonstrated Team Leadership experience with the ability to lead small to medium sized multi-disciplinary Engineering teamsUndertaken the translation of electrical/electronic equipment design into a manufacturable solutionDemonstrated good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levelsAbility to negotiate and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationshipsWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
