Operations Manager - Border Fabrications Border Fabrications is part of the Jacob Group of Companies, a proud, locally-owned family business. With over 90 years of operations in the Albury Wodonga Region, our team specialises in a range of fabrication work and body fittings, from vehicle trays to trailers, tilt slides to tipper bodies, and car carriers and accessories, to name a few. About the role The Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating workshop activities, supervising staff, ensuring workflow efficiency, and maintaining strong quality control across all fabrication projects. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. What you'll be doing Oversee daily workshop and operational activities Manage and supervise fabrication staff and allocate workloads Ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards Monitor production schedules and ensure deadlines are met Prepare, review, and issue customer quotes in a timely and accurate manner Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams Drive continuous improvement across processes and systems Maintain equipment, materials, and stock levels Report operational performance to senior management What we're looking for Previous experience in an operations, workshop management, or similar supervisory role Background in fabrication, manufacturing, or engineering Strong understanding of fabrication processes and workshop operations Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to read drawings and understand fabrication processes Strong organisational and time-management skills We offer Competitive salary package Supportive team environment Stable and growing business Please note that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
