As a Custodial Correctional Officer with Queensland Corrective Services, you will safeguard Queensland, ensure the security of offenders, and guide them toward rehabilitation. You will influence positive change and strengthen our society. Key Responsibilities Support education, vocational training and employment programs. Assist with cultural engagement initiatives. Manage prisoner inductions and accommodation units. Conduct perimeter security and external escorts. Write reports for case management. Explore specialist areas for career development. Qualifications & Requirements Current open or provisional driver’s licence. Energy, empathy, and resilience. No prior experience or qualifications required; diverse backgrounds welcomed. Successful applicants will enrol in and complete a Certificate III in Correctional Practice (Custodial) as part of employment. Applicants from all walks of life encouraged, including women, veterans, people with disabilities, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people, and culturally diverse backgrounds. Benefits Competitive salary: $76,584–$118,635 yearly (incl. superannuation). Five weeks of annual leave. Job security with career progression opportunities. Diverse work locations across Queensland. 10‑week fully paid training program. Uniforms and meals provided. Relocation assistance up to $7,000 for eligible recruits moving to regional centres.
