Disability Support Worker (Casual) Melbourne Inner/Outer North South/East Join to apply for the Disability Support Worker (Casual) role at My People Solutions . My People Solutions Recruitment is currently seeking to fill a number of Casual Disability Support Worker (Standard Level & High Intensity Level) vacancies across Melbourne, with shifts available in Inner North, Inner East, Outer East, and Southeast Melbourne locations. Applicants must have relevant qualifications and at least 2+ years of standard level disability support worker experience, experience working with people with autism, and experience of working with adults and children with high intensity support needs and/or behaviours of concern. Immediate vacancies are available for applicants who have specialist experience working in the home with children and young adults exhibiting behaviours of concern and restrictive practices. Shifts may vary in days, times, and lengths; there are currently no active night shift vacancies, but sleepover shift positions are being considered. Applicants must be flexible and willing to work in various environments, including Short Term Respite Centres, SDA/SIL houses, and multiple client homes per day. A current driving licence and reliable car are essential. NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check, First Aid/CPR, Working with Children Check, Card & Car Licence are essential. Some roles also require a current medication administration and/or manual handling certificate and attendance at regular training sessions. Applicants will only be considered if they have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a disability support worker and all supporting documents are current and up to date. Experience with clients who have autism, ABI, intellectual disabilities, high physical support needs, and behaviours of concern/restrictive practices will be highly regarded. At least 2+ years' experience as a disability support worker. Experience working with people with Autism/ADHD, Mental Health, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Intellectual Disabilities, ABI/Stroke, Cerebral Palsy, Dementia & certified medication administration, advanced manual handling supports, behaviours of concern, restrictive practices highly regarded. Flexibility for shifts on varied days, times, and locations; experience working both in home and in SIL & SDA houses is highly regarded. Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, vaccinations (including COVID), CPR & First Aid, right to work in Australia, 100 Points of ID, driving licence and reliable car essential. Cert III Individual Supports, Cert IV Disability and/or Mental Health Care Qualification, equivalent or higher preferred. Current medication administration certification and/or manual handling certification required for some roles. Full driving licence, reliable car & comprehensive car insurance with ability to travel to multiple clients in one day essential. Ability to communicate, problem solve and use own life experience with integrity, honesty & reliability critical attributes, as is a good sense of humour. All roles include some level of personal care and assistance as a standard part of the disability support worker's role. Great pay rates and weekly payroll.
