Learn more about us and what we do at awaresuper.com.au Your New Role A rare opportunity to join the Systematic Equities team at one of Australia’s leading superannuation funds, as a Quantitative Analyst. Apply your quantitative research skills to enhance investment strategies and portfolio management in a collegiate and high performing team, where you’ll work closely with portfolio managers and data teams, contributing to the ongoing success of a direct investment portfolio spanning Australian and international equities. Conduct quantitative research on global and domestic equities, integrating findings into internally managed portfolios. Develop tools and analysis for equity returns and risk, supporting both systematic portfolios and the broader equities group. Assist portfolio managers with trade reviews, portfolio performance, and oversight of exposures and risk attributes. Support investment reporting, performance and risk attribution, and stakeholder communications. Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement and review portfolio positions, supporting rebalancing and trading activity. How do you exceed our expectations? Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline (mathematics, physics, engineering), finance, or actuarial studies. Experience in quantitative investment research or data science, ideally within equities. Strong programming skills in R, Matlab, Python, or similar, plus data transformation and automation skills (SQL, Python, Powershell). Demonstrated research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to explain complex concepts clearly.
