Junior Vintage Winemaker - Rockcliffe Winery Rockcliffe is a small to medium winery in the Great Southern wine producing region in West Australia. The winery focus is on the production of high quality wines produced from excellent quality Great Southern grapes. Assistant Winemaker Provisional Tasks Winery Operations – general Conduct general cellar operations to a high standard as required Conduct vintage processing operations as required Laboratory analysis and records Enter and maintain Vintrace records Liaise with cellar staff and make sure that they are happy Making sure the winery is kept clean Winery Operations – in conjunction with Senior Winemaker Blending and fining of Rockcliffe Wines Vintage requirements and planning Grape purchase/vineyard visits where necessary Weekly planning of all cellar operations Barrel work/bottling preparation/filtration/stabilisation/transfers etc Ensuring occupational health and safety standards are maintained Sundry Others Make sure the water treatment plant is working correctly Help setting- up and running the bottling line Vineyard Assist with the vineyard if necessary Sales (working with Steve) Attend functions Export sales Help to increase sales in the Great Southern region Help at the cellar door if CD staff are not available Opportunity to convert to a full-time position after vintage.
