The Role We are seeking a motivated and patient-oriented Full-Time Pharmacist to join our professional team on a rotating roster which includes weekends. Newly registered pharmacists are encouraged to apply, as we offer a supportive environment for professional growth and development. Key Responsibilities Dispense Medications: Accurately dispense prescription medications and other medical products in accordance with legal and ethical requirements. Patient Counselling: Provide clear, concise, and empathetic advice to patients on the proper use of medications, potential side effects, and drug interactions. Health Promotion: Engage in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives, including administering immunisations (e.g., flu jabs) and offering advice on non-prescription medicines. Inventory Management: Supervise and coordinate the maintenance of inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels of essential drugs and proper storage of sensitive items like vaccines. Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the work of pharmacy technicians, interns, and sales assistants. Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and prescription files, including the recording of narcotics and other controlled substances. Skills & Qualifications Registration: Current general registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA) . Education: A Bachelor of Pharmacy or Master of Pharmacy degree from an accredited Australian institution (or an equivalent approved by the Australian Pharmacy Council). Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and clinical knowledge are essential. Experience: Experience in a community pharmacy setting is desirable, but we welcome applications from newly registered pharmacists.
