Description The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) (Queensland Section) offers a mobile dental service through the Mobile Dental Unit (MDU) to assist rural and remote Queenslanders with access to dental care. The MDU, which has two state‑of‑the‑art dental surgeries, serves upwards of 70 patients per week and offers a range of services, from preventive care to extraction and houses an onboard orthopantomogram (OPG) unit. It aims to address the immediate need for dental care in communities within QLD and improve overall health by providing a regular ongoing service. We are seeking an experienced dentist with a minimum of two years’ clinical experience. In this role you will provide high‑quality dental care to patients, conducting clinical examinations, diagnosing dental conditions, developing treatment plans, delivering appropriate treatments (including extractions), providing oral health education, maintaining accurate clinical records, and supporting patients with post‑treatment care. To succeed in this role you will be a dynamic and committed professional who aligns with our organisational and MDU goals, have strong communication skills and be a reliable team player able to practise confidently and autonomously in a remote environment. You will bring cultural awareness and adapt your clinical approach to meet their needs, and you will be highly adaptable and maintain an organised, professional work style.
