Based in Villawood, we are currently seeking a Procurement Officer to join our team The role will be responsible for managing procurement activities and implementing strategies aligned with achieving company goals including resolution of inquiries, managing vendor relationships and administering procurement activities. Role & Responsibilities Identify source of new products as required from both existing and new vendors, coordinate samples and product specifications and initiate new product set‑up. Respond to inquiries and troubleshoot issues relating to procurement portfolio. Develop and implement cost savings strategies to improve purchasing practices. Identify alternative source of supply on products to assist in cost reduction and meet supply goals. Develop and maintain vendor relationships including evaluation of potential new vendors and conducting regular vendor reviews. Evaluate current products to optimise range. Review price agreements and pricing proposals. Maintain comprehensive procurement records and deliver timely reports to management. Qualifications and Experience Demonstrable experience in a similar Procurement Officer role. Qualification in Procurement, Category management or similar discipline preferable. Experience with both local and international vendor management. Experience in the medical industry and familiarity with change management advantageous. ERP systems proficiency – experience with MS D365 highly desired. Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills. Demonstrates analytical and strategic approach to planning and problem solving. Data analysis skill – Intermediate to Advanced Excel. Benefits Free onsite parking and gym membership.
