Job Details Permanent full-time role Salary Level: Sweeper $85,140 per annum (FTE) plus superannuation Monday to Friday roster between 4:00am to 8:00pm 9 day fortnight Location: North Plympton What you'll do Working within our City Operations team our Road Sweepers provide cleansing duties in support of the City of West Torrens, roads and footpath sweeper operation, drainage and a range of tasks related to the maintenance of infrastructure. The Road Sweeper will undertake programmed and reactive cleansing operations utilising the mechanical road sweeper and associated equipment in performing maintenance and cleansing to the road and roadside infrastructure and amenity assets. Our Road Sweepers are responsible for the removal of litter and hazardous objects from road reserves and open space areas to provide a safe and pleasant environment for the community as well as undertake program and reactive maintenance of the drainage systems, including cleansing of side entry pits, junction boxes, roundabouts and median islands. Operational Hours Monday - Friday, 4:00am to 1:00pm (76 hours/fortnight) Monday - Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm (76 hours/fortnight) Monday - Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm (76 hours/fortnight) Who you are As this role is hands on, it's important that you have the capacity to undertake manual work. You'll need to have great communication skills (both written and verbal), be dependable, motivated and have a high standard of Work, Health and Safety for you and your colleagues. As each work day provides a new challenge, you must be able to adapt to changing situations as they arise and have good administration skills with regard to record keeping. It's important that you can work as part of a team and have excellent time and organisational skills. Essential Qualifications MR (Medium Rigid) driver's licence Work Zone Traffic Management certificate (or willingness to obtain) In addition, in accordance with the requirements of this role, a National Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue) will be required as part of the Recruitment process.
