About the Role The Case Worker (what we call a Koorta Guide) is a critical role for Adult and Children clients within the Karlup Service - a specialised FDV service offering support to residential and community clients. Koorta is a Noongar word which means “trusted one”. Koorta Guides are at the heart of the Karlup Service model and play a critical role in supporting women and their children throughout their journey of healing and recovery by walking alongside them to gain a deeper understanding of their needs, work collaboratively to develop a plan for their future, and provide practical support to access internal offerings and navigate external support services. This is a permanent full time role working 38 hours per week between the hours of 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Please note that this position is only available for employees who identify as female, due to the inherent requirements of the role. What we’re looking for The successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria: Previous experience in working effectively with children and young people who have experienced family and domestic violence. Ability to provide tailored support through assessing individual needs and developing comprehensive case management plans. Demonstrated proficiency in utilising case management tools and frameworks. Proven capacity to collaborate effectively with a suite of offerings staff, women and their children to ensure coordinated support. Commitment to advocating for the rights, wellbeing, and best interests of children. Strong skills in liaising with Child Protection and other external agencies to achieve integrated outcomes. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Please note that the successful candidate must be female.
