Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2 – Japanese Speaking Join Microsoft to apply for the Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2 – Japanese Speaking role. As part of the Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team, you will be the primary engineering contact for your customer’s support experience on Azure, driving resolution of critical and complex problems, supporting key customer projects, and representing the customer within Azure engineering. Responsibilities Technically Oriented Track customer incidents and engage with strategic customers and partners to understand issues, contribute to troubleshooting through diagnostics, and communicate progress and next steps to customers. Use engineering and support tools, customer telemetry, and/or direct customer input to detect and flag issues in the products or with the customer usage of the products, and help customers stay current with best practices. Identify and leverage developmental opportunities across product areas and business processes for professional growth and to develop technical skills to resolve customer issues. Customer Solution Lifecycle Management Serve as a connecting point between product teams and customers, providing proactive guidance on designing configurations and deploying solutions on Azure. Handle critical escalations, conduct impact analysis, and serve as an escalation resource in areas of subject‑matter expertise. Conduct in‑depth root‑cause analysis and translate findings into opportunities for improvement, tracking and driving them as repair items. Relationship / Experience Management Act as the voice of customers and channel product feedback from strategic customers to product groups, driving resolutions on recurring issues and closing the feedback loop. Partner with other teams to prioritize, unblock, and resolve critical customer issues. Collaborate with stakeholders to support delivery of solutions to strategic customers and resolving customer issues. Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI, or related field and 2+ years of experience in the technology industry, cloud, technical support, or customer‑experience engineering; or equivalent experience. 2+ years of demonstrated experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise‑level mission‑critical applications and infrastructure, resolving complex issues and driving technical resolution across cross‑functional organizations. 1+ year of experience on‑call and driving mitigation for mission‑critical incidents. Preferred Qualifications Hands‑on experience with one or more cloud technologies: IaaS (Compute, Storage, Networking, Kubernetes, High Availability), Data Platform and Big Data services (Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL on Azure, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Factory, AI/ML), PaaS services (App Services, Azure Functions, Redis Cache, Event Hub), monitoring technologies (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, Datadog, Confluent). Excellent communication skills—ability to empathize with customers, convey confidence, explain technical issues to varied audiences, prioritize and advocate customer needs. Mindset of customer obsession and growth orientation, with openness to learning new skills in a fast‑paced environment.
