Personal Care Worker - Terrace Gardens - Casual Australian Regional and Remote Community Services ARRCS – Darwin NT Casual/Temporary ARRCS Terrace Gardens Aged Care facility are seeking qualified and experienced Personal Care Workers to work on a casual / ad hoc basis only. Based in Darwin, NT. These roles attract a salary of $35.01 - $36.55 / hour dependent on skills and experience. Your role as a casual Personal Care Worker will see you employed within the facilities ‘casual worker pool’ and you will be contacted to work ad hoc shifts when required to support rostering gaps. When working at Terrace Gardens you will be providing care and support within the facility undertaking personal care including grooming, showering, and dressing, mobility and assistance with meals in accordance with the resident’s care plans. These roles are suited to people who have care and compassion and enjoy interacting with our residents within our facilities. You will bring previous experience in an aged care or disability support role and will have the skills and experience to complete work with respect and professionalism whilst having supervision from our facilities senior nursing staff when required. You will provide a strong work ethic whilst being able to ensure that the care and wellbeing of our residents are kept to the highest standards. As the successful candidate, you will understand that you will be employed as a casual employee . This means that you will be available for ad hoc shifts when required and there will not be a permanent / regular roster provided to you. Skills and Experience To be considered for this role, we would require you to demonstrate the following: Minimum of Certificate III or higher in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Care. Demonstrated experience in assisting with the activities of daily living in an Aged Care setting. Be looking for casual ad hoc shifts only – Nothing on a regular or permanent basis. Demonstrated effective and clear communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage and work within a culturally diverse team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. An ability to undertake a range of manual handling functions relevant to the role. Proof of or willing to obtain the following mandatory requirements NDIS Workers Screening National Police Check (dated within 3 months).
