Cyber Security Analyst Join to apply for the Cyber Security Analyst role at Ipswich City Council . About The Role As Cyber Security Analyst, you’ll play a key role in our Cyber Security team, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day security activities. Your primary focus will be monitoring and responding to incidents, alerts, tickets, and requests to safeguard our systems and data. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Serve as the Level 2 escalation point for the Security Operations Centre Lead vulnerability management by tracking CVEs and coordinating critical patching Review new business proposals and perform comprehensive risk assessments Implement and enforce access controls in line with the Essential Eight and legislative requirements Support information governance by embedding cyber security best practices Contribute to the cyber security roadmap and help strengthen ICT capabilities About You To be successful in this role you will have: Certificate IV in Cyber Security Certification(s) in cyber security methodology standards (e.g. CISM, CISA, CompTia+ or similar) Highly developed skills and technical experience in the support and administration of Security Operations Centre (SOC) environments Email security and phishing protection technologies, including filtering, sandboxing, and user reporting mechanisms Familiarity with industry frameworks such as ASD Essential 8, ISO27001, or IS18 Benefits This is a permanent, full time position with a salary commencing at $110,838 plus 12.5% superannuation.
