The Contract and Vendor Management team is primarily responsible for managing QSS contracts, providing advice on contractual matters, and managing vendor relationships. Responsibilities Participate in contract management activities in line with the requirements of the Queensland Government Contract Management Framework and QSS Vendor Management Framework. Provide administrative support to the Principal Contract and Vendor Management Officers within the Contract and Vendor Management team. Demonstrated knowledge and experience using contract, vendor, or financial management systems. Provide secretariat support for various strategic and contract management committees, including organising meetings, distributing papers, taking minutes, and managing actions and decisions. Manage and administer “routine” classified vendor contracts and agreements to ensure business needs are met. Other activities as required to support the Contract and Vendor Management team. Continuously seek to improve work practices, internal processes, and procedures in support of the organisation's strategic, business, and operational objectives. Qualifications Strong organisational and administration skills, including demonstrated proficiency in written and oral communication with the ability to confidently articulate messages and achieve organisational outcomes. Ability to build and nurture positive relationships with team members and stakeholders, including sustaining collaborative delivery. Understand contract and vendor management, governance, financial and procurement principles. Ability to respond proactively and flexibly to change with a continual focus on stakeholders' needs and identifying areas of improvement. Experience or ability to gain knowledge of systems related to contract and vendor management functions. Model professional and ethical behaviour with a commitment to ongoing personal development. Position Details This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of recent machinery‑of‑government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.
