Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) House Manager Pathfinders is a community-based organisation committed to supporting Children and Young People through trauma-informed, culturally safe and empowering practices. Our Out of Home Care services—including Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC), Foster Care and Supported Independent Living (SIL)—provide safe, nurturing and home-like environments for young people who cannot live with their families or carers.We proudly embed the Sanctuary Model across all programs to ensure our organisational culture, practice and decision-making are guided by trauma-informed principles. Salary: SCHADS Award – Level 5.1 Closing Date: Monday 8 December 2025 at 9:00am We are seeking passionate and experienced leaders to manage our Intensive Therapeutic Care homes in Tamworth. The ITC House Manager is responsible for: Leading a small team of therapeutic youth workers Creating a stable, nurturing and structured home for Children and Young People Overseeing day-to-day operations of the therapeutic home Ensuring high standards of care that support healing, development, connection and independence Building strong relationships with Aboriginal families, agencies and communities Upholding the Sanctuary Model and the Circle of Courage philosophy Ensuring all practice meets Pathfinders policies, procedures and statutory requirements This is a dynamic leadership role that directly contributes to improving the lives, stability and future opportunities of Children and Young People in care. Applicants must demonstrate: Relevant tertiary/vocational qualifications (e.g. Bachelor or Diploma in Community Services, Child/Youth Services, Social Work or related fields) Minimum 3 years’ experience in community services/children’s services/family work Proven leadership or supervisory experience Strong understanding of Children and Young People’s rights Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Conflict resolution and mediation abilities Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team High-level written and computer literacy Commitment to ethical work practices and ongoing training Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal communities and willingness to advocate and support cultural connections This is child-related employment. Applicants must provide: A current paid NSW Working with Children Check number A National Criminal History Check A First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) An unencumbered driver’s licenceThe role includes participation in: A rotating roster On‑call duties as required Mandatory training, including WHS and Sanctuary Model training Applicants must submit: A written statement addressing each essential and desirable selection criterion (with examples). A current resume outlining relevant skills and experience. Copies of relevant qualifications. Two recent work‑related referees, including at least one recent supervisor.
