Intermediate Design Engineer – High Voltage Design Apply for the Intermediate Design Engineer – High Voltage Design role at Transgrid . Opportunity The Intermediate Design Engineer – High Voltage role is central to delivering high‑quality design solutions for high‑voltage electrical systems. You will provide technical advice, contribute to the development of standards, and ensure alignment with project objectives and stakeholder requirements. What You’ll Do Perform and review high‑voltage designs in accordance with Australian and IEC standards and Transgrid technical requirements. Complete detailed design calculations including short‑circuit forces, conductor sizing, lighting and lightning protection studies. Investigate and implement innovative design solutions to meet project and business needs. Review high‑voltage external designs to ensure quality and compliance. About You Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. Extensive experience in high‑voltage design across all functional areas of transmission network substations. Specialised expertise in a range of technical processes and procedures related to substation design. Experience in completing and reviewing project designs in collaboration with external consultants. Proficient in engineering business systems and design software, preferably Bentley ProjectWise and MicroStation.
