Purpose of the role The Media Liaison and Project Manager will manage day‑to‑day media relations and project delivery within client accounts. As the most media‑focussed member of the Client Servicing team, the role thrives on successfully pitching clients’ stories to the media while integrating social media into PR campaigns. The holder will communicate effectively with clients, teams, and media contacts, ensuring the highest level of service. Key Responsibilities And Tasks Client Management Assist Campaign Managers and Directors with client and project management. Offer thoughtful advice on media strategy, tactics, and opportunities. Maintain client relationships, positioning TEAM LEWIS as a valuable long‑term partner. Manage communications with select clients, ensuring deadlines and service agreements are met. Support business development by preparing pitches and research. Media Relations Understand and follow news agendas to position clients within the broader narrative. Pitch engaging content to journalists, bloggers, and analysts regularly. Assist with press/analyst tours, briefings, and meetings. Refine campaign programmes tactically, adapting plans as needed. Deploy rapid response to breaking news on clients’ behalf. Research, identify, and approach appropriate media contacts continually. Secure standing opportunities such as columns and Q&A sessions. Build a solid understanding of national, regional, industry, and vertical media landscapes. Attend and coordinate events to grow and strengthen the media network. Content Draft biographies, briefing documents, media alerts, soundbites, Q&A, backgrounders, and boilerplates with high quality. Create press materials and compelling content for traditional and digital media. Develop briefing sheets to aid client press communications. Identify news angles and hooks. Continuously improve writing style and adapt to client needs. Collaborate with content specialists to maintain consistent quality. Provide feedback on drafts from Campaign Executives/Coordinators. Digital / Social Media Use social platforms to expand networks, develop media relationships, and support client outcomes. Pitch additional digital content (infographics, animations, video) to enhance written work. Explore new tools and processes to evolve and optimise PR campaigns. Provide insight and manage related digital activities. Collabore with the digital team to increase utilisation of digital services. Team Working and Development Mentor graduates and Campaign Executives within the team. Ensure personal objectives and client deliverables are met. Accurately report activity levels and complete timesheets. Work closely with line manager to maximise strengths and support career development. Support training of graduates and interns. Attend TEAM LEWIS training sessions and daily press briefings. Reporting and Analysis Track and report media activity, including coverage reports and online engagement. Review reports and metrics prepared by Campaign Executives/Coordinators. Report account activity and results to senior management. Communicate performance in internal reviews. Provide additional reports upon request. General Support Client Servicing team on initiatives and projects. Promote TEAM LEWIS brand and values proactively. Assist HR/talent team in promoting internal/external opportunities via social media and referral scheme. Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, practices, and policies. About You Relevant experience in a B2B, corporate, consumer, or digital communications agency. Attention to detail. Proven written ability in English and local languages. Creative thinking. Understanding of client business issues and requirements. Highly developed presentation skills. Thorough knowledge of print and broadcast media. Understanding of market research and analysis. Ability to motivate and lead a team. Ability to delegate effectively. Calmness under pressure and capability to meet tight deadlines. Confidence in interacting at board level with clients.
