True North Copper Limited (ASX: TNC) is a copper and critical minerals mining company.The company's two major projects are the Cloncurry Copper Project, Wallace North (Cloncurry) and the Mt Oxide Project (140km north of Mt Isa).
We are looking for an experienced Pit Technician to join our dynamic team at our Wallace North project.
This is a full-time permanent role and is crucial in supporting our mining team, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data collection, collation and processing.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you will be instrumental in contributing to the success of a fast-growing copper and critical minerals company.
Your dedication to teamwork and coordination will help us meet our site targets.
About you: As the Pit Technician working in an operational mine site environment, you will be a highly motivated individual with approximately 2+ years' experience.
You will be physically fit and capable of adapting to demanding work conditions, with a strong commitment to safety.
Key responsibilities: Complete open pit production duties, including ore block mark outs, ore spotting, insertion and detection of blasthole movement balls, waste rock sampling, grade control sampling, stockpile sampling, sample dispatch and data entry in a timely and accurate manner.
Perform field logistic duties in a productive and efficient manner.
Basic earthworks & coordinating with contractors.
Complete technical support tasks as required across all services: Environmental, Geological, Survey & Engineering.
Conduct stock takes & purchase orders for mining technical team ensuring adequate supplies are available at all times.
Assist Project Manager & Technical support team on logistics at the site.
Provide support to the mining team, with opportunity to hot seat mobile plant operations.
To be successful you will need to have: Hold a current Driver's "C" Class license valid in the state of Queensland.
Ability to undertake a Pre-employment medical & D&A screening in line with RSHQ requirements.
Hold a current Police check or willing to obtain.
Rights to work in Australia.
Current RII's for Mobile equipment advantageous.
2+ years' experience in open cut mine operations.
