As we prepare for our next expansion phase, we are building a talent pipeline for skilled Panel Board Estimation Engineers who understand the realities of tendering, switchgear selection, and pricing logic. Role Overview The Panel Board Estimation Engineer will play a key role in helping customers and internal teams create accurate, consistent, and time-efficient switchboard quotations. This future role involves interpreting specifications, selecting switchgear components, preparing BOQs, and supporting the digitization of estimation workflows. Key Responsibilities Preparing cost estimates for LV switchboards, MDBs, SMDBs, and DBs Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, SLDs, and project specifications Selecting components from brands such as ABB, Schneider, Siemens, Hager, LS, etc. Preparing BOQs, panel layouts, and material take-offs Applying customer-specific margins, pricing structures, and commercial adjustments Coordinating with sales teams for tender clarifications Ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards Supporting continuous improvement of estimation templates and logic Required Qualifications & Skills Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering 1–5 years of experience in switchboard/panel board estimation Strong understanding of LV switchgear, protection devices, and panel design Familiarity with industrial/commercial tendering workflows Ability to read SLDs, layouts, and electrical specifications Strong analytical and Excel/estimation skills Knowledge of cost breakdowns, pricing strategies, and BOQ preparation Good communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines Preferred but Not Mandatory Experience working with panel builders or distributors Knowledge of software-based estimation tools Exposure to projects in Sri Lanka, Middle East, or APAC regions Understanding of coordination between design, sales, and procurement teams Why Join Electronate?
