Responsibilities The transformation you will experience: The SEO Content & Digital PR Director will build and scale Zenith’s Content and Digital PR capability nationally, following a major client win. This role will define and lead Zenith’s approach to content strategy, editorial excellence, thought leadership, link acquisition, and digital storytelling - aligned to organic growth goals in the era of GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) and LLM-driven Search. The Director will own strategic content delivery for key clients, evolve Zenith’s content and Digital PR product, and embed best practices that drive measurable visibility, authority, and brand impact. The role includes line management and coaching responsibilities and is suited to an ambitious content leader passionate about future-ready organic growth, creative storytelling, and earned media impact. Your scope will include: Content Strategy Delivery: Deliver high-quality, search-driven content strategies for Zenith clients. Develop scalable content planning and production frameworks grounded in audience intent and LLM-readiness. Deliver brand-safe & Scalable AI Model: Establish ways of working around large language models – ensuring we reap the benefits in efficiency and scale, but ensure quality of outputs and appropriate governance. Digital PR Capability Growth: Build and operationalise a Digital PR offering that drives high-quality editorial coverage, authoritative backlinks, and brand credibility. Revenue & Scope Management: Define, deliver and grow content + digital PR scopes. Align utilisation with commercial requirements while ensuring healthy team workload. Client Leadership: Own senior client relationships across major accounts. Lead storytelling-led presentations and performance reviews with C-suite stakeholders. Department Alignment: Ensure content outputs align with the broader Zenith and Zenith SEO proposition, supporting a clear and cohesive Zenith approach which is visible in all touchpoints with the business. Performance Excellence: Ensure content outputs drive measurable improvements in organic visibility, content engagement, coverage, backlinks, and search authority. Operational Impact; Develop processes for briefing, production, approvals, and efficiency across owned earned content. Cross-Channel Integration: Work closely with SEO, Paid Search, Social, Creative and Strategy leads to integrate content and PR into broader go-to(1)market strategies. Thought Leadership: Be Zenith’s face for Content SEO & Digital PR in market. Develop POVs, conduct workshops, support PR, and present at industry events. Team Leadership: Lead a growing Content & PR team across strategy, editorial and outreach. Focus on capability development and performance culture. What type of person will be successful in this role: Experienced in Content Marketing, Organic Growth or Digital PR roles. Proven track record designing and delivering integrated content strategies for enterprise or large brands. Strong working knowledge & ability to provide examples of search-driven content (E-E-A-T, content architecture, clustering, topic authority). Must have experience and working knowledge of keyword research, competitive and site auditing tools (SimliarWeb, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console) as well as key analytics platforms e.g. GA4/GA360/Adobe Analytics Experience leading Digital PR campaigns that drive high-quality coverage and links.
