Geotechnical Engineer (Pavements) Req ID: CA Location: St. Leonards, Sydney, NSW, Australia Job Type: Full-time, Regular Responsibilities Plan pavement investigation works, deliver pavement design, rehabilitation projects, and perform on‑site inspections for various infrastructures including highways, intermodal centres, ports, airports, and local roads. Provide technical advice and support on pavement designs and road network resurfacing and rehabilitation programmes to optimise whole‑of‑life costs. Develop design and maintenance management practices for pavements and road surfaces. Develop robust forward works programmes and long‑term plans to optimise maintenance of road pavements and surfaces. Conduct and manage site surveys and investigations, undertake pavement designs including calculations and modelling, and prepare specifications and contract documentation. Undertake construction contract management and administration, site monitoring, surveillance and quality assurance. Provide input and guidance on treatment selection for resurfacing and rehabilitation including reviewing design reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering with geotechnical/pavement electives or major. Minimum 4 years of working experience in consulting or recognized as a senior engineer in current role. Previous experience on TfNSW and local council projects and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams (interstate experience considered favourably). Experience with engineering software such as Circly, HIPAVE, Rubicon, Elmod, AutoCAD. What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits.
