Key Accountabilities Ensure the safe use, storage, security, transport, and handling of explosives in accordance with all statutory and company procedural requirements. Follow instructions from Shotfirers. Carry out loading of explosives and priming of blast holes. Dip blast holes and record information accurately for engineers. Delineate active blast loading areas. Operate safely and efficiently. Carry out pre-starts on equipment. Conduct bulk product quality tests as required. Work unsupervised. Operate ancillary equipment (stemming loader, etc.). About You Experience in a production mining open pit environment in a similar position. Comply & promote MRM’s Core Values and Policies. Self‑motivated with the ability to work in a team. Unwavering commitment to safety. Ability to maintain focus when dealing with competing demands. Good communication & interpersonal skills. Support Shotfirer competency (RIIBLA205D Store, Handle and Transport) – advantageous. Current Police Clearance. Current Drives Licence. Ability to work in extreme heat and physically demanding environments.
