Advanced Case Manager, Assessment and Referral Court (ARC) and CISP Magistrates' Court of Victoria – Shepparton VIC Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'. The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is the first level of the Victorian court system and is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria. It has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state. The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 locations, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year. The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible, and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community. About the role Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with complex needs? Join our Court Support Services team as an Advanced Case Manager, where you'll provide client-centred, strengths-based, and solution-focused support to individuals participating in the Court Integrated Services Program (CISP) and the ARC List. This role is pivotal in supporting clients with a range of psychosocial challenges, including complex mental health and disability needs, and contributes to improving outcomes within the justice system. Key responsibilities Deliver advanced case management to accused persons with complex mental health and/or disability support needs. Conduct assessments, referrals, and treatment planning to create person-centred support plans. Prepare and present written court reports and provide expert advice to the Court. Mentor and coach case managers to enhance practice quality. Build strong relationships with the judiciary, legal professionals, and service providers. Collaborate with local services to reduce barriers to access and improve client outcomes. Actively engage in professional development and contribute to practice improvements. Strong knowledge and/or experience in at least one of the following specialist areas: mental health, acquired brain injury, disability, alcohol and substance use, family violence, or homelessness (highly desirable). Proven ability to mentor and coach case managers. Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills. Tertiary qualification (minimum Diploma level; degree highly desirable) in a discipline relevant to case management with forensic clients, such as social work, psychology, welfare, alcohol and other drugs, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
